It's rated put 5.5 to 12 volts. I ran it on both 2x cr123 and a 18650 just to fiddle around and never had an issue.
The driver was updated a couple of years ago and it runs fine on a single 18650 (albeit at reduced output). I don't think the website has been updated to show this. There is a fair amount of info on this in the M91 thread.

Yep the 91 is a beast! It is unfortunately a huge battery hog. I run my work 91 in an MD 3 with 18500's and need to charge every 2 days.
I think someone with more knowledge than me in the M91 thread mentioned that running 2 primaries may be dangerous.
a primary 123 should only be pulling 1.5 amps or so to be safe. With the M91 with 2x123's your pulling something like 2.5-2.8 can't really remember. But yes it's more then the 123's are made for

Thank you. That's good info. Guess its a good thing I sold my last two MD2 bodies.

Are you thinking about picking up the Wildcat? Perhaps I should shorten my deadline.
Not that I wouldn't like one of course :) , but was thinking of an M91B.

Was out in heavy fog today in the forest. Pitch black, but my Hound Dog 18650 punched through it nicely.

Well, if that Wildcat V7 is there is 36 hours from now, it's mine. Just giving you all a fair warning. 😃 can grab the M91B later on. Tomorrow the Hound Dog Super 6200K will be here. Oh yeah. I need a E2XTD also to see what she can do compared to the E2XT. It never ends but Malkoff's site is running dry.

Mail me your E2XT and I'll see how it compares to my E2XTD. :D

I know it doesn't have the biggest specs, but the E1HT is prob my fav light. And they're in stock.

I don't understand this. I forgot what the V6 was rated at in lumens I think it was 1100 , and the M91B is 1000 lumens, the V7 is rated at 800 lumens continuous in the 4000K version.

I know you're referring to the slightly more potent V6, 1100 lumens, but does the M91B look 500 to 600 lumens less? I guess today I will just order the V7 and find out. It sounds anemic at 800 lumens. My Elzetta Charlie is 900 and pure 4500K flood with the flood lens in for a good hour of runtime...
V6 is rated 1500-1600

Wow, well that makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. Wish Gene didn't nuter the Wildcat so much.

If the V6 and V7 almost seem the same to your eyes and the V7 is only 800 lumens and the M91B is 1000 lumens, but it seems 500 600 lumens less I'm still confused.
Why do you say the 91B looks like 500-600?

500 to 600 less

I guess I am asking how the 800 lumen V7 and 1500 lumen V6 look about the same, but the 1000 lumen B91 having more lumens than the V7 not even come close to it. Do you mean in terms of flood or output?
My V7 is 1000 lumens "950" so yes in my eye there is little to no difference between V6 and V7 as far as how they light up a target. You got to remember they are flood lights so all them extra lumens are being spread way out. Now you get a thrower and one is 1000 and the other is 1600 your going to see the difference. All this is in vane anyways V6's are very hard to find.Im pretty sure I have shots of both I'll see if I can post them later. But as I say unless you have a lead on a V6 your only option is V7

What do y
Also, Gene I hate to Nickpic...but the the last 2 bodies had a small glob of lube, but I had to re lube them. I mean it's the little things that people let slide without a voice that ends up becoming a serious problem for the company... slow down Gene and family. We're out here as long as when we open our packages everything is perfect. I myself expect perfection from you because I almost always got it expect for one anodizing and a half laser etching...

Here is the new girl...she's cold so she needs a good warning
