Thanks to everyone who responded to my UBH run II offering!

Now, due to popular demand, I am offering another mod. Several people liked the E2C adapter I made for Roy and wanted one of their own. So, I got a quote this week, and since it was reasonable, I am going to go ahead with it.

Here are the details: The E2C is an adapter that screws on the front end of your E-series or UBH body. Onto this you screw any of the standard size heads from Surefire's lineup. This includes the M2, D2/3, 6/9P, Z2(3?), possibly the G2 series, and the KL3. This gives you that much more flexibility to use the size of handle, the number of batteries, and the amount of light output you want.

The transition from the body to the head is a straight slope, the material will be aluminum, and the finish will be HA3 natural. I will offer the lights in this finish only, unless you have ordered a bare aluminum UBH from me. In that case, you can have an E2C nekkid if you want. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Down to the bottom line: the price is $30.00US, shipping included. This is for the standard HA version. I will only be doing a small run of these, so the ordering will be closed next Friday at noon EST (that's the 28th). I'll confirm the numbers with the CNC shop next Friday afternoon.
I am still accepting Paypal at [email protected] .

Thanks! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

***** UPDATE ***** I just wanted to remind everyone that orders for the E2C adapter will only be taken up until this Friday at noon. I will be calling the CNC shop to give them the order size Friday afternoon.

Thanks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

So to place an order do I just send the Paypal? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Doug:

Is there any possibility you'll offer any brass E2C's to those of us with brass UBH's? I'd love to have one. I can use my black McGizmo E2C with the HA UBH currently on order with you.

Thanks for the picture, Roy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

leddite, these adapters only work on the E-series bodies or the UBH. It's the sloped piece between the brass body and KL3 head that you see in Roy's picture.

lemlux, I wasn't going to offer them in brass, but I guess I could offer a few. I haven't sold many of the UBHs in brass, so I didn't think the brass E2C would be much in demand. Toss in another $3.00US for the extra material expense, and I'll have a brass one made for you. ($33.00US all together). For the other people who are ordering/already have brass UBHs, if you want a brass E2C, go ahead and order them. Same $33.00US... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

jtivat, go ahead and send the Paypal, I'm a-waitin'... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

aha, yes, i'd seen a picture of that i think and/or was wondering...

what's the max voltage the KL1 head can use? i know it can do either
3 or 6 volts, can it do 9?

i know the KL3 can do 6 or 9, can it do 3 volts? spotty reader that i am,
i don't recall seeing that information.

dang. tempting. very tempting. i shoulda ordered two UBHs... hmmMMMMmmm.

Re: Announcing - the E2C, DSpeck style.

Even though I only have 1 E2e and already have 2 E2C adaptors...I want in on this! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Paypal sent!

Re: Announcing - the E2C, DSpeck style.

Leddite:

My KL3 seems works fine with a 3.7 V. Li-Ion battery. I would guess that this is true until the Li-Ion's output voltage drops below the Vf of the LS in the KL3.

Re: Announcing - the E2C, DSpeck style.

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif lemlux - forgot your KL3 evtravaganzas /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

And you are certainly right - the KL3 is only step-down but no step up as is the KL1 - so while 3V won´t work your Copia and/or the 3NiMhs you tested should be doing fine as long as the Vf is lower - so my KL1/KL3 voltage post would only be right for multiples of 123´s whereas the "real" voltage range seems to start at 2V for the KL1 and at the actual Vf of the LS for the KL3 - did anyonbe tried the max voltage yet /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ?
