Great for finding your flashlights:

The "Led bulb" is bright enought to light up a small room and read in the dark, should have a decent runtime too. I know this already exist as a "magic toy" but this one has a forward clicky and CR123 inside, being automatically aproved by flashaholics. :D

Sorry for the bad pics my camera doesnt work well with low light.

I put a rubber switch boot at the end so nothing will happen if I screw it into a bulb socket.

But can work as a joke :nana:

It is super easy to make your own, solder the clicky spring to the - side of the battery, solder led to the + and connect the other terminal to the clicky outer ring. Make a hole at the bulb bottom and fit a rubber boot in there, glue everything with epoxy or silicone and you are done.

These leds work at 3V so there is no need to add a resistor.

Remember to sand the leds so they have a flat head, this works as a diffuser.

Come on, take it back apart and let us see the guts.

I glued the glass with ultra strong epoxy sorry  But I will when i make the Led bulb V2... im thinking of cree emiter, multimode driver and replaceable battery.

Then screw that into a droplight. That would be great for working away from a powersource.

Its kinda cool that we as CPFers made a table lamp that lights when the power is unplugged and turns off when power is plugged in.

The best I've made is a solar powered flashlight, it only works when theres light out, it turns itself off when the lughts go out.

I've always wondered if I can patent ideas like this as I love how much sense it makes to me especially when it makes no sense to virtunally everyone else. If I was to design a car, the brakes will only work when I'm not pushing on it...but unfortunately very few people think the way I do...

Maybe you should just put it as an acceleration-pedal in an electric car and it makes sense :D

well, I have this tendency to rest my foot on the pedal at times...and once awhile burned the entire shoe off:shakehead

It just acts instinctively...I dunno if its because I drive a manual in the before life or...:ohgeez:
