Just a study piece...:D

This switch housing has been machined to the bare minimum, in an attempt to create a light weight, Ti light...I'd really like to have a feather light, Titanium light...but without stripping all the design away:thinking: Not so easy:sigh:

Here's my starting point...

Nice job, Scott! Love that trit!!

I'm still thinkin' a good way to protect it in the tail while having top visibility (which is important IMHO, if it's in a backpack bezel-down, or sitting somewhere else bezel-down), would be to widen the butt end of the switch housing, and drill holes straight into it, so you'd only see the end of the trits, but if there are six of 'em, that wouldn't be a problem!

I drew a tiny red arrow to show what I mean, what wall would be left a little thicker (not so thick to hinder the button operation of the light)

lol... I thought you went for a six cree setup when opening this one... This also looks great though

She's gettin' fit and trim...

I'll post the weight tomorrow....I looks like it will be very close to the weight of a Nuwai Q3...Me likes!

Very nice Scott!

I'd love to see an entire light built with the same philosophy. That would be a Ti light I wouldn't mind pocketing.

Thanks Dennis...

Here's the early numbers;

Stock Nuwai Q3, with a glass lens, and no clip, or clip screws, 2.64 oz.

Ti Six...might have to come up with a different name...;) 3.04 oz.

The Ti Six, is 0.40 oz., or four pennies heavier...The LE, and the glass are tipping the scale to the head side now.

New pics...

I couldn't help it...the blaster was calling me:crazy:

The (McGizmo Ti) looking switch, is the lighter of the two...I don't have a scale, but it feels much lighter than the 'Colander' <----My wife's name for the six holed switch housing:green: I may have dropped another penny or two, with the McGizmo Ti styled switch housing...

The light is front heavy now, but there's quite a bit of material that could be removed from the inside of the head, and an equal amount from the exterior....

That's a nice looking light Scott, nice pics too.

I like the knurling on the head and the flutes on the McGizmo-style tail.

Great approach to lighten the parts.
