Well you guys just had to go and dig those up huh? :shakehead😱 I have been working with Mandy today giving her an overview of everything and needless to say she is a bit overwhelmed with it all. It's funny, I have known that there is a lot to building these but it sunk in a little further as I was trying to tell her about all the different steps and little things that have to happen to make it turn out right. It took me about 6 months to learn it all. Fortunately she has my experience to draw on so it should not take as long for her. She got to cast her first carbon fiber cores today and is working on polishing lenses as I write this. It will be a little while before we are moving real quick but it is coming. She actually used to help me put up signs on occasion so she is not afraid to work like some women. I am so happy to have help.:twothumbs

You already paid for shipping with insurance so that is covered. I don't have a problem with this as long as people are not doing this all the time. And this probably should have been handled within the B/S/T section.

id love to be in on the second run too, but how long do you think until you hit the second run?
Its hard to say. I am training my sister to help me build these so things should start to speed up as she learns everything. Since I have her help now I may just continue building the DEFT without a break. We will see as I also am working on the Black Tie and may need a short break to get all those built. DEFT production would start up right after that. Will know better in the coming weeks how fast we will be able to go as she gets the hang of things and I see how some of the changes I have made in design affect production times.

Michael any progress? How long before the next batch get shipped?
Aircraft800's is pretty much done. We played with it at the Dallas Flashapalooza the other day. I have been training my sister for the past week and a half and things are going as well as could be expected. She really is picking it up fairly quickly and has learned about 75% of what I do so far. I taught her how to solder today and showed her how to wire and solder the drivers together. Things are still a bit slow as I have to sit there and watch her do the work to make sure it is being done right which means I am not getting any work done. I also had both of my gram scales go nuts yesterday so I will have to stop by Fry's tomorrow. I bought two to have one for a backup since it is so important for what I do and they both went bad in the same day.:thinking::shrug: I don't know what did it but if anyone could tell me what could cause them to go permanently crazy I'd like to know because I can't afford to have this keep happening. Things will start to speed up here in the next week or two.
I need to update the list as GVS has been banned and another member is getting funds together and asked to be pushed down the list so I will be sending PMs shortly with a request for payment on those next in line.
I have been using this light almost exclusively over the last 2 weeks when going for walks at night....gets dark at 5pm now...especially since there is a problem with coyotes moving into mostly residential areas. I want as much throw and time as possible to deal with these characters, and there is nothing in my photonic arsenal that works like the DEFT (short of the MaxaBeam which is too bulky for daily walks). Been using mostly the Q5 pill. I'm also careful not to shine it anywhere near cars or home windows.
Even so, I have had about a dozen people walking, and 6 cars and one local cop stop and ask what kind of light it is because they are amazed at its performance. Several have said they thought it must be a laser. I have never had any of my other high power hotlights generate so much interest as having cars actually stop and take the time to ask about it. People have commented on other lights, but not like this one.

Glad to see its getting use. I just showed some of my friends the light for the first time a couple days ago and they were floored. One guy started giggling like a little girl as he waved it back and forth shining it down the street. I am surprised to hear that you have been using the Q5 most. I figured since you were such an avid incan man you would have been using the 5A tint. What is it you like so much about the WC tint?
