Re: The Lounge

Thanks ven!

I have noticed that wim is a frequent typist. Hopefully he never discovers the rest of the Internet. :-)

I do think I'm "settled" on the T6. The k70 is sweet but I have a pencil thrower in my m3xs-ut, and so the next one needs to be a little more floody. Illuminate more, still a distance out. The k60 is more flood but I would prefer the greater reach of the t6, especially since it still has so much useful spill.

On the EDC front... I'm one of those guys who considers a wedding ring "pushing it" on the accessories front! :-)
I've survived with a Manker e11 in a pocket for a weekend, but I don't think a p60 will ever be EDC for me! I cant deal with more than a phone, key fob... and when not sitting, a wallet in my pocket! A p60 in pocket would feel like i was trying to pocket a beer! I'll have to look into some of the (even) smaller lights.

Thanks again for the guidance and welcome!

k60vn reaches ample for me, heck my eyes are good but i am no eagle! and i got funny looks carrying this

k60vn beam

k70vn beam

Vinhs 1vn make a great key chain light, check them out, he sent Madsion one(my 10yr old daughter)

I have the cooyoo quantum on mine

Re: The Lounge

I couldn't have said it any better myself bro! True that! Also I'm going through your pics of the K70vn, damn; torn between it and the T6vn lol

Down to 2 things really, do you want the dedicated thrower with useful spill in a large form, or a more compact, higher output light with still very good throw, 570kcd of the 70 V 400kcd of the T6vn.

The t6vn has 6000lm V the 2600lm of the k70vn, pretty different lights and UI, i would say the T6vn has the better all round type of use factor. 400 or 570kcd yes a significant difference for throw junkies, in real world terms its not huge and probably a couple of hundred metres more.....................past the 1km mark!

The single large reflector always wins out for the better beam IMO, and has the advantage of throw, after all its 1 LED V's the 4 !!!! No best, just what suits your wants the best flash:)

If i had neither or no lights that has either covered, i always go for the most overall useful light, that would mean brighter spill for me so the T6vn . Others for throw would go k70vn...............I would pick the k60vn before the k70vn, just for that amazing beam and 200+kcd and 4500lm of brightness is enough for most.

Whats the use in mind? any preference with size and UI?

Re: The Lounge

I leave for a quick hour to get my girlfriend some icecream and boy I missed a lot. Flashaholic I hope this incident doesn't stay with you. There certainly are some rude distorted folks that we come across in our paths. Don't let this ignorant guy ruin you. You are very intelligent individual and you really did the right thing by walking away. I personally believe discussing what flashlight fits your needs is better than the political disaster that awaits America. I tell myself daily I'm glad I have a cabin off grid in the national forest. I may end up there after the election. It will become my survival destination.

I love the warmer neutral tint in the T6vn, I see that Vinh also has an option for a 5000k xhp35 K70vn.. I would mainly use it as my main dedicated thrower. I just sold my OG K40vn since I never used it that much, but now its spot is empty on my shelf, I have to fill up that empty spot. I'm leaning more towards the T6vn just because it's a bit smaller, and MOAR lumen :D

If the k40vn sat on the shelf, the chances are the k70vn will after the initial phase..................The T6vn will be of more use and throw similar to the k40vn..............yet with 3 or 4 x the lumens (will appear twice as bright)and a lot brighter spill. Think compact and better performing tk75vn killer throw! just not quite the same build quality but still high enough!

Besides , if your a big guy, you need an rc40vnT or F, it will look like a TOOLvn in your hands

Re: The Lounge

Anyone who wants to trade an RC40vnF (20500/19000 lumens) for an RC40vnT hit me up! fyi my vnT is the one used in the famous Thrower Kombat Challenge!

Re: The Lounge

Too much spill wimmer? I need spill for throwers to be of use for me.

You need to get a deft X really, or a tm36vn!!! the former is just a pencil beam and up to 1300kcd dependent , keep an eye in the wts as they do pop up, would put up a wtb as well. Some have a few of them! Maybe try caddylover, he has 3, may let one go.................may!
