Those numbers don't add up for W1. Perhaps W2?

Actually, even the numbers for the w2 don't really add up.

I don't think there's any 'danger' of this light hitting 18,000L with 12 w2's. That's 1500L per. The D18vn is about 850 per LED OTF.

Great to see Fireflies continue to develop and evolve some really nice designs though!

CSLPM1.TG is definitely capable of doing 1500 lumens, but only in ideal situations, and Fireflies probably just has some inaccurately high readings. Ideally driven, each emitter should put out 1300-1400 lumens otf, and only for a couple of seconds before they sag down to 1200-1300 or so.

Only reason why I'm not buying the Osram version stock on this light is because Vinh is going to be securing some 5400k variants of the 2mm whitey. I much rather have that color temperature (if they do indeed turn out to be 5400k), and not 6500k.

I hear you about CSLPM1.TG on paper but it never seems to work out like that IRL after various bits of multiplied resistance. Even if it hit 1250L per LED at start up, that would be really incredible at 15,000L. The D18vn takes 6 more W2's to hit that figure so, I guess I'm just trying to be realistic about expectations, for my own sake.

The idea of a 5400K W2 is really exciting, if it's not losing out on too many lumens to the 6500K. If things are relatively equal, I'd go 5400K every time. I would only buy the stock osram version if Vinh gave it his blessing and did his thermal conductivity checks and spring bypasses.

I have a very random question.

Does anyone feel they are patriotic? Doesn't matter what country you are form. Just simply yes or not. Just curious. Nowadays this might be a question people are not willing to answer for whatever reason...

Those are fighting words haha.

I want to answer, but there aren’t many non-offensive ways of describing ones true heartfelt feelings and beliefs on the subject without talking down the alternative viewpoints.

Personally, no. Never have been, never will be, but I respect each person’s decision to support who ever/what ever/wherever they please.

Hard to answer in a few sentences but sure, in a reservedly thankful and discerning way. I know that I could have been born anywhere and instead I was born here, in a nation with Judeo-Christian heritage and a Bill of Rights. I'm very thankful that my forefathers desired to exist without the fist of tyranny hanging above them. I'm still free to exercise what I consider to be God given rights as a human being. Free societies are very dependent upon self/individual-governance and as individuals continue to oppose objective moral standards, the freedoms that we've enjoyed will fade. With that stated, many people around the world experience unfathomable anguish, persecution and subjugation, at the hands of authoritarian political ideologies, rooted in the transgression of God's laws. On a national level, we've not endured this kind of overwhelming oppression and because of that, I'm patriotic but with thanksgiving.

Yes, I am unabashedly patriotic. I think it's so sad that this could be considered a bad thing, or that it strictly labeled as a "one side" kinda deal. The mere fact that someone could go out and say "I hate this country, I hate this leader, everything sucks" and NOT have any government repercussions is exactly a reason to be patriotic. Unfortunately, a lot of people have lost sight of what the USA stands to be- a place for all to live free in pursuit of their own happiness in their own way.

Like Patriot, I was most fortunate to have been born into a country where Freedom is paramount, where our forefathers cared for it above all else, and understood most of the innate rights every human being has that is born to this world. I do not deny that the USA is far from a perfect place. Neither does it mean that I blindly support the actions taken by those in power, because at the end of the day, they live in their own world and do not have to suffer ours- the world they "create for us." I always tell my family: 'They do not care about us.'

The US isn't simply the face of the person behind the Resolute Desk or the party they represent, the USA is what WE all make it, the USA is the sum of all her people, places, and ideas. This transcends "bi-partisan" as it involves all parties whether or not they make it on the ballot.

I will never be ashamed of this land, I will never be ashamed of the people I inhabit the land with, and I will never be ashamed of the principles upon which we have laid the foundations for our society. There is a long, winding, and often treacherous road stretched out before us, that leads far beyond any perception of ours. Together, and only together as a people, we will make this journey.

E pluribus unum

Great looking light! I really like those GITD gaskets and it would be nice to have those for our quad set-ups.

P.S. Don't go dropping that off any 4 story buildings because those trit vials probably won't like that!:sssh:
