I think the effect of OP (depending of the type of OP) is generally less than many would think. I'll say 10% so 451Kcd.Just tested a MK38vn with SFT40 with OP reflector VS smooth reflector.
Smooth was about 500Kcd.

That was a sweet 1st, new ride, Bob! Hopefully you still have some pictures of that memory. My first vehicle (not new) as a 1985 Ford F-250HD 4X4 with a 460ci and a four speed. The truck was nearly indestructible. On the downside, the emission equipment on that motor was terrible. I had to put it all back on every year before taking it to get the smog test done. Funny thing was, when it was tuned properly it easily passed the emissions part of the test without all the extra equipment on it but of course didn't pass the equipment inspection portion. I eventually took the guts out of the smog pump so that it wasn't pushing any air into the exhaust manifold, then I only had to add and remove the belt. I learned a lot, at 17-18 years old, about turning Ford V8's though.1st car, Bought new, 1970 El Camino SS 396, 375 HP version. About $3,200 IIRC. Last year before implementation of EGR and still had dual headlights.
