That thing is $$$ nice big display, colored buttons to keep you from hitting the wrong one. Accurate run time test on deck!

M61NLL Part 2: For the Discriminating Users Wanting a Fully-Charged Battery
I'm surprised the LLLL V2 draws as much as it does compared to the LLL.
My results differ from Gene's numbers. I put fresh batteries in and got same measurements.
I called Gene because I was curious...he said each LED is different and will vary, and those swings from what I measure and what he measures are expected. He said he can measure 1 M61NLL and it'll be 150ma, measure another one just made and it'll be 120ma.

Took a little Crypto mining profits and finally gave the SST a home.

That's awesome! I've been wanting to get some equipment like that to do runtime tests and such.

I installed a High/Low ring on my (what I've decided is a) M31LLL 219B MD1. Low is a super low moonlight mode. I estimate it to be less than 1 lumen. I can stare at the emitter and see grid squares in its lit surface. Best part? Low mode draws five ma. FIVE! I'm hooked.

ETA Whoops, that was about kernel's rig. Didn't realize I had missed a thousand more recent posts, lol. Happy Friday

Nice job man!
I now realize to get super accurate numbers you must test your own lights with a simple turn on and see when it turns off. So you're right. lol

I might grab a $25 light meter off Ebay....not to get accurate lumens as it's practically impossible, but to calculate the % lumen drop over time.

That M60 must be an older inefficient LED? I didn't think 235 lumens would draw 720ma.
When turned on the volts drop fast and don't stop dropping.

I also used my negative battery cable and got near matching results, so resistance wasn't skewing the draw...I think those numbers are fairly accurate. Usually the cheaper multi-meters have accuracy issues in the lower and upper ranges....not the mid-ranges where Malkoff lights hang out.

750 for that M60 sounds about right. About 1 1/2 hours with a couple 123’s

Tight werk Kernel.
What setup are you going with for it?
I wish Malkoff had an 18350 body.

Are there any American made 18350 E bodies?
Oveready couldn’t confirm if they’ll have their E body in stock this year.

hi is there a way to remove and replace the M61 reflector lens - I accidentally touched it with a lens cleaning cloth, looks smudged / scratched up!.

Yes to both. Malkoff sells replacement lenses for $4. To remove you just unscrew the retaining ring and it all falls out. Malkoff sells a tool to unscrew the retaining ring or you can try needle nose pliers or punches that fit in those 2 grooves.
my bad, I meant the actual reflector not the Lens.
thanks Kerneldrop!.

Lumens factory

The Modlite would be nice.
I've put together a Lumens Factory E1 body and switch before but never get it b\c it's $80 by the time it ships.
The guy with Lumens Factory has excellent customer service. He has the 18350 in pineapple, too. It's not on their site.
I'm bougee and would like a body machined in someone's garage.

I’m gonna either run it on 18350 or 18500. Should be here Monday. I guess I could just do a runtime test with my red LL lol. That’s my only LL.
