Epoxy spikes to the bezel and order some 60/90 silicon carbide grit for the body
That sounds awfully close to the Zebralight SC5, and while i did enjoy the texture my pockets sure as hell didn’t.

Yep keeppower. You got a SS bezel for it?
Steel bezel, extra pocket clip, lenses, extra switch, some lube. I had a good long think before ordering due to shipping being $55. No bezel tool though, working in industrial settings comes with some perks.

Good evening guys. On the strength of a CPF member's recommendation, I bought a malkoff mdc ha cr123 and LOVE almost everything about it. I prefer my nichia 519b sw45 loaded lights' coloring more though...can anyone point me towards someone who will modify my malkoff to have this led? Ty in advance, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask.

You don’t have much options because Malkoff heads are potted and that would require removing the potting, which is a huge reason why Malkoffs retain their reliability so removing it will more than likely void warranty, make it worse, and in turn defeat the idea of owning such a well built light in the first place

I would recommend getting a VME head from Malkoff and a nichia M31, M61, or M361 drop in from Illumn.com. They have Nichia SW40 95 CRI emitters. You still get that Malkoff potted reliability in an E series module with a very nice Nichia LED

I shall treat you to a rant, simply due to it being related to Malkoff.

As mentioned earlier in the thread i ordered a MDC 16650 some time ago. Everything was all fine, they sent the order quickly and despite it going international it arrived in my country very fast. That's where things got wonky though, since somewhere between them doing a preliminary customs declaration and then sending me the proper one after making sure everything was in order the package seems to have disappeared. I've been badgering the postal service here since the 8th and so far all i've gotten has been "oh there's some technical difficulties, please wait" and other things to the same effect. Today's the deadline for paying the customs fee before the package gets returned, and i still, to this day, am still getting a message reading "the customs declaration takes a bit longer". To add insult to injury there were even pictures of the package on the customs site when i previewed the whole thing, pictures of the package i'm less than likely to ever recieve now.

I finally bit the bullet then to message Cathy about it, and while i feel like an utter *** for doing this i did take her up on her offer to resend the order. Now i'm just worried that the next package will also be gently and lovingly yeeted into the void by our postal service, and it'll be a lot of wasted effort and money.

TL;DR, our postal service can go take a long walk off a short pier.

There’s already the MDC 18650 (with adapter) for E series. This new one fits dual fuel Surefire threads.
