Can anyone provide some white wall tint shots with the following Malkoff M361 5700k (or any Malkoff with an SST20 5700k) compared with a 519a 5700k domed? I'd like to see how much difference one is to the other. If anyone has these two they can compare it would be much appreciated

Hello. I am looking to buy another Malkoff. Just purchased an m61 HOT V2 and really love it, but I am Wondering how much brighter and more impressive the following 3 lights are compared to the HOT

-Mdc pocket thrower (and what's expected run time)
-Hound Dog 18650
-Hound dog super (and anyone tried this on md2 body for smaller size/reduced output?)

Any feedback would be great to help me buy. Thank you!

I can only address the m61HOT V2 to a neutral Hound Dog 18650. My Hound Dog has a greater throw as well as more spill.

Do you think it's worth having both lights or would you just get the hot and the hound dog super? If they're comparable, I may just go big.

I'd go with the super and be done with it. On 2X18650 it will make your hotV 2 look like an old maglite. On a single 18650 or better yet 21700 it will still have twice the throw and greater output then the HOT.

Ah yes. Forgot to ask…do know what type of output and runtime I could get on just a single 18650 in a super?

I ran a test with a 21700 and got slightly reduced output "estimate 1000+ Lumens for 1 1/2 hours then at 2 hours it was down to 500-600 and at 3 hours it was still over 100. Battery was at 2.9 at that point. On low with 2X18650 i got over 24 hours and the low on this thing is good for 80% of what you will ever need.

Any experience with the regular hound dog xpl on a single 18650? That is what I just ordered. I think the super would be a little bit much for what I'm trying to do right now, but it is definitely on the list of lights to own.

Go with the Super.
So, I went the regular hound dog xp-l. I foresee myself buying the super asap, but I like the slightly smaller size and I'm pretty sure I can run the hound dog on 1 18650 at reduced output and still get decent light while having the option to use it with 2 18650 also.

You won't be disappointed with that regular HD. If you don't need to blow yourself out of the water you've got a tough as nails tool that'll last your lifetime and give you most of the light you need.

What I haven't been able to find after days of searching, is info on the regular HD running on a single cell. So if anyone has done this or can, it would be greatly appreciated

Unless you bought the 18650 version then no. If I'm not mistaken it starts at 5.5 volts

Many of genes lights will run way below its listed voltage. Pretty sure the HD does as well. The super and regular WC will run off a single lithium ion. At reduced output of course.

Not specifically with the hound dog, but can confirm the wildcat xpl works on one 21700. I ran it for a week no issues before my hound dog 18650 arrived. There might be an argument for safety from larger draws than a battery is capable of supplying but I'm unfortunately not knowledgeable enough to comment further.

I tried my old shape (referred to as a toilet plunger?) Hound dog XML with a single 18650 the other day, didn't light up. Back on to the MD4 it went.

I first cobbled together the MD4 a while ago but I'm really happy with this pair now and they're ready to use.

Oveready V4 H3 HML drop ins in XPG2 4000K and 219a 4500K.

Fashioned some aluminium to fill out the space around the drop ins and modified the retaining rings to seat the heads nicely.
