Anyone know if the MDC single AA lights are back in spec on the low low mode? For a while there, the low lows were running much brighter than the stated specs.

Riiiiiiight. Well consider it a question for the flacid Malkoff users then.

I imagine the low low is 1x7135 chip. But I'll never know because malkoff pots in cement.
From everything I've read today's 7135 is more than 350mah

My low low is barely usable it's so low.

How many sub-lumens are you looking for?

I always use eneloops and have had a few copies, cool, neutral, older clip style etc, even got Gene to make me an MDC warm. but the last one I remember having had a low low of close to 2 I want to say. I'm looking for the post and I think infnl or someone else who could measure output confirmed it as well. I use sub lumen all the time around the house and would want one with the spec low low.

I've gotten a couple neutral AA MDC lights within the last year and they were definitely low low. Well below 1 lumen. Very dim. The type of output you would want in the middle of the night or early mornings

Sorry guys, no low output here :). I wanted to share the "flagship" of my small Malkoff collection:

From left to right:
1. Wildcat 18650 - Cree XP-L (4000K, 90 CRI) w/MD21700 body and Fenix clip.
2. Hound Dog Neutral 18650 - Cree XP-L (4000K ? maybe warmer) w/new style MD2 body and Surefire lanyard and ring.
3. M61HOT - Cree XP-L HI - with new style MD2 body and Oveready Tailcap (makes it much shorter and matches nicely the body)
4. MD2 - Customlites P60 Green Drop-in (for hunting hogs) - old style body and tri-cap.

I also have a MD2 w/M61 Neutral drop-in as a beater truck light and couple older M60WF and M60 that came with with an Elzetta Bravo Tactical Light from 12 years ago, relegated to kitchen and respective bicycle duty.

Almost forgot :sssh:, my wife carries the Bodyguard V1 in her purse.

The M61HOT is the prima donna and gets carried the most, obviously. I love the compact size and ability for low output and much longer runtime than its competitor for my pocket, the Modlite PLH-v2 18350. I like it so much that I gifted the previous 2 to my family overseas, this is the 3rd iteration I just acquired ;).

Nice collection. I do like that oveready tailcap on the MD2. Original is quite long

that's a great collection! one suggestion if I might, you may wanna put a breakaway on your paracord, so if it snags onto something it won't injure you

Or if someone tries to snag onto a Malkoff, his wrist will go along with it.
Good looking countertops, is that natural or man-made?
