I'm a bit of a horror junkie, so this will be one to see in the cinema when it comes out, by the sound of it.

I saw this the same night I posted the above.

It is set in a local community and I thought it seemed fairly accurate as far as that lifestyle goes.

It's hard to comment on the movie specifics themselves without throwing out spoilers.

For myself, I thought it was unusual, interesting, and not a waste of time.

I saw it alone early in the morning, and it did hold my attention from beginning to end regardless of some reports on IMDB of it being boring.

The realism sucked me in I guess, I wasn't bored at all.

A few scenes had me at the edge of my seat literally with suspense, and a few others "got me". If you watch it with your girlfriend put a pillow in your lap to protect you when she jumps into it. I recommend long sleeves as well if she has sharp nails.

Blair Witch was more scary but then again this is coming from
a guy who was brought up Japanese and Asian horror flicks

Maybe if you rented PA and sat at home and watched it with all
the lights out, you might get a bit of atmosphere .... your home
makes all kinds of "explainable" noises at night

Maybe I'm just jaded on horror flicks, but I thought it was lame. In comparison, I thought Blair Witch was better. Closest showing was 150 miles away, glad we didn't drive all that way to be dissapointed.

The wife and I saw this the other night... I'm not into horror films, but she is (in a big way). We both liked it. I was scared, but mostly because of the style the movie was shot in. Very realistic. Also, it was a huge relief to see a scary movie that ISN'T full of blood and gore, for a change.

This is very rare nowadays. If it's not a remake, it's a gore fest.

My daughter called me as she was leaving the theater after seeing this movie. She said it was the stupidest thing she has ever seen. One scene involving a blanket though was fairly scarry to her.
