I tried a new coffee shop recently. Their coffee was ok but it had an odd aftertaste of mushrooms. Is this normal?

You mean like "shrooms" or mushrooms meant for food mushroom aftertaste?I tried a new coffee shop recently. Their coffee was ok but it had an odd aftertaste of mushrooms. Is this normal?
It tasted like regular food mushrooms, which is an odd taste for coffee. You mean like "shrooms" or mushrooms meant for food mushroom aftertaste?
Ha! Sorry but I should have clarified this. It's the kind of mushrooms that you'd find in a stir fry, on a pizza or in a tuna-noodle casserole.Only for the shops located in Amsterdam or California.
No that is grossly abnormal and likely means they have fungus/mold in their water supplyI tried a new coffee shop recently. Their coffee was ok but it had an odd aftertaste of mushrooms. Is this normal?
That is a weird haas coffee flavor. 🤨Ha! Sorry but I should have clarified this. It's the kind of mushrooms that you'd find in a stir fry, on a pizza or in a tuna-noodle casserole.

i've since learned that mushroom coffee as well as "shroom coffee" are things that exist, but neither was the case in my encounter.Judging by his response, he did.
But a perfect example why I usually only ever enjoy instant coffee at home. Hold the odd smells and tastes.
Good to the last drop.Tried some Maxwell House after many years. Not bad at all.
Interesting, I just got a new 23 ounce container of Maxwell House yesterday from Amazon. About $10 USD which is pretty good. Dollar Store near here (and other stores) charges $6 USD for 10 ounces so there is a little savings there.Good to the last drop.
That seems like a good price to me. I grew up on Maxwell House coffee. Did you know that it was named after the Maxwell House Hotel in Nashville?Interesting, I just got a new 23 ounce container of Maxwell House yesterday from Amazon. About $10 USD which is pretty good. Nice mug. I'm puzzled about this statement from their website though -Snow Peak H450 titanium double wall mug. Best coffee mug ever. Actually best mug/cup for anything……ever.
That's just lawyer-ese to protect them from "geniuses" who have no clue that you're never supposed to put double-walled mugs on an open flame to boil water or heat up your coffee. Single-wall ONLY.Nice mug. I'm puzzled about this statement from their website though -
Please note: double-walled titanium cannot be used for cooking or placed over a heat source.
Does this mean that it can be harmed by hot coffee?
Correct. Now having said that....I also have the single wall 450 as well. Also highly recommended for coffee. I'll use the single wall over the stove to reheat a cup, and then pour it into the double wall. That's just lawyer-ese to protect them from "geniuses" who have no clue that you're never supposed to put double-walled mugs on an open flame to boil water or heat up your coffee.
