Well, even though I have 2 M61N, 1 M60N, and 3 M361N, I felt that was not enough:D . With that said, the last 2 M61N's in Malkoff site were gone :hitit:
I feel much better now....

I would like to see a three mode in the standard m61 9V voltage range and with constant current. The 361 is nice and I like mine but it does have some limitations.

Excessive is relative. I did a head count the other day and my overall Malkoff drop-in count was upwards of 20. Approximately 8 of them are actually in use - the others are packed up and in storage.

Including the three or so M61NLLLLs I scored from Oveready.

I think u should give one to me since I am a new malkoff junkie and only have 2 drop ins :D

Actually, I did give a spare M60 drop-in to a buddy just starting out.

He ordered his first Surefire host, a C2 off ebay. I'm so proud. :D

Malkoff stuff doesn't use PWM. There. I said it.

Gene Malkoff tells the module when to turn on and off. No need for PWM or CC.
Sounds like Gene needs to make his jump into the most epic of splits videos as well. ;)

That said, what Tracker II says above answers a question I had and that was if the high/lo ring would work with the 3-mode module. Excellent news and can't wait to pick one up!

You're going to love it.

You have a couple of options for lanyard rings:
1. Pocket clips - you get these almost anywhere, including the Malkoff website.
2. This lanyard ring/tactical grip. (http://www.illuminationgear.com/XENO-XRD-Stainless-Lanyard-Ring-XENOXRD.htm) Not bad, it's functional and does the job.
3. My personal favorite - the guy who makes them sells them through the Marketplace as well as Illumination Supply. (https://illuminationsupply.com/flas...r-surefire-and-clones-p-757.html#.UrsRL9JDvTo)

I love how the Malkoffs send out the holiday emails. I also love that it shows how they stand for their values, as they say in their emails and website (love of country, etc.)

here's to another year of Malkoff stuff!

I agree 100%. Awesome people who run an outstanding business.

Hi all,

Please forgive the newbie question, I have roamed a lot of these pages already but I'm affraid I am still learning the linguo. A lot of technical data makes searching slightly tricky ;)

Anyway, I can read a lot of good stuff on Malkoff products and dropins but what I would like to know is that if the compatibility goes both ways? Can I put P60 dropins in an MD2 for instance (ordered yesterday at Oveready !) ?

That until I of course introduce the appropriate dropin very soon :D

Thanks in advance for your answers

Unless someone cares to correct me, no - you can't use a standard P60 dropin for a Malkoff MD2.

The Malkoff lights were built around the Malkoff style of drop-in.

I can't even really call it a drawback since almost all of my P60-style drop-ins are, in fact, Malkoffs. :D

Yes, Malkoff hosts ( & related types - VME, Elzetta, etc) are a tiny bit smaller than the typical "standard" P60 dropins ... but usually enough to not fit without modification of the dropin.
