The Official Zebralight Thread .

I tried to get it to reproduce last night with a 30Q, VTC6, 25R, M35A, and a Sanyo NCR18650, and was unsuccessful. I did notice after further inspection one of the six positive pins were bent. I think because one of the NCR18650 flat tops had the positive terminal bent from dropping a Hank light and I used that battery in a few of my Zebralights, because I don't use button tops or protected cells in these lights (I have around 100 flashlights so I know better, mistakes have been made in the past. :p). I did check my SC64w and it too had a bent positive-side pin bent and I never had an issue with that light, and I would think the remaining 5 pins on the SC65c would do the job just fine, as they have in my SC64w, but who knows.

I never play with the temp settings or modes in my Zebralights because I don't find the default modes annoying and I have around 7 Zebralights. So I certainly didn't reset the default modes or alter them. I am going to keep trying for another day to repeat it and then I will change my settings back to default and try some more. :)

Also not going to try and return it because of the physical damage on the pins I found.

Hard to see, it's the bottom right pin. Going to see if I can find the pair of tweezers I bought for electronics and see if I can bend it back.

Tried to buy back my old sc5 but the guy won't let it go…..can't blame him. So……….I ordered an SC53cN.

How are you guys liking this light? I have been trying to catch up on this thread. Has there been a definitive answer on a Li-ion working in these yet? I saw some people are using a vape cell with some luck.

I really miss my sc5. But I am excited to get another AA zebra in my pocket. I got the shipping notification yesterday!

Yea I hear ya. Shouldn't have sold mine either. Reached out to Zebralight and they said they don't have plans on doing another body in that style in the near future. Bummer.

yes LiIon works, it makes H1 brighter, the other modes do not change

there is no LVP in the light

there is a protected LiIon option that fits: Lumintop 14500, it also has built in USB charging

to go back to AA requires a secret step

more details in this thread: ;-)

It's a great little light you can just throw it in your pocket and forget about it. Hopefully you will enjoy it and get some good use out of it.

Yeah man. I really wish I could grab another one.

Great to hear! I had a few sc52's and an old sc51 and they were all great. I always loved the zebra lights. I still have two headlamps. One AA and one 18650. Can't remember the model numbers.

I really can't wait till the tracking updates……

Many thanks to a friend who was able to get my sc52Fw swapped to a 519a 5700k. This body style has been my favorite and now with the 519a in it it's 🤌🏻. L to R is sc65 hi, sc52Fw, sc52w and a sc53c N that also has a 519a 5700k.

I do prefer the ribbed for her pleasure models than todays look.
I did to. They had better grip and were a unique look.

I still think it's interesting how many different shades of gray anodizing I've seen in the last 5 years or so. Even the texture has been different between models, with some being much more glossy vs a matte finish. Makes it interesting to a collector (which I guess I technically qualify as, based on sheer number of lights! Lol). My wife says I have a problem.

Going down the zebra rabbit hole again! Haha. I just ordered one of the SC64c LE lights that are on sale. I have yet to own one of these. The last Zebralight 18650 pocket light I owned was an sc600!

My sc53 is set to arrive today! Very excited!

How do you guys like the SC64c LE?

That sc53 is nice and small and puts out a nice tint for 4000k. The 64LE is a nice edc light that will last you a long time.

Yes those three side by side are a great comparison as far as anodizing goes. When I see all together like that I'm not sure which I like best.
