Man I like this sc53! The tint is perfect!!
I have one en route courtesy of our man ohio72. He's the type of dude that make CPF a cool place to hang out.👍🏼 I'll be using it handheld as well as on the head strap. I was hoping to find the disco'd Sc5c mk II LE, but I think the SC53c n will be just fine instead.

Awesome! I really missed my sc5…….but I'll be honest…. This sc53 has taken that thought away. The tint and power on this are great enough to have made me forget about the sc5.
You will love it

Well….. I checked the tracking of my sc64 and it's going to an old address that I haven't lived at in 6+ years….1000 miles from me…. Not sure how that happened. I just ordered my sc53 and all my address info was updated when I placed the order. I didn't even think to double check the address on the 64 order because my 53 just came here last week….

I'm trying to get a friend to intercept it out there and mail it to me here. Ugh..

Another possible option to consider

File a new forwarding address with your old Post Office. You can do that online.

here is the link:

If that works, they may stop the delivery and reroute it to your new address, maybe even for free.

Maybe call the Post Office that serves your old address, to confirm if that is a viable strategy. Or if the carrier is UPS or Fedex call them up w your tracking number handy and see if they can reroute the package for you.

I look forward to your package arriving safely at your new address.

Thanks for the advice! My friend was able to intercept it from the mail man! They are going to send it my way!

They are fantastic lights. Enjoy them.

I also will recommend an SC600 series. The knurling and feel in hand is superb, clip isn't the best but it works

I need to put them on a scale. If it's not lighter, it's the same weight. Maybe I'm crazy haha
Hear ya go Mgizler a sc53c n and SC64c LE weigh off! First 2 pics are without cells and last 2 are with. I measured these in oz and the LE is just a tad heavier than the 53c. Enjoy the rest of your weekend !👊🏻🍻

Edit: no clips and screws on them

Awesome! Very close! Thank you for doing that. I was going to take them to work and have a weigh off. Haha.

With the arrival of my new SC65c Hi lights, I started altering my usual settings. I'm going to try this for a bit on my EDC SC64w Hi.

G5-default on all modes.

G6-L1=1, L2=3, M1=5, M2=7, H1=9, H2=11
G6-L1=2, L2=4, M1=6, M2=8, H1=10, H2=12

Basically, G6 are the odd numbered levels and G7 are the evens.

glad youre having fun ;-)

fwiw, these are the modes you have chosen,
per specs (not available for levels 1, 2, 3):

Group 6:
L1=1, L2=3, M1= 4.7Lm, M2= 27.5Lm, H1= 157Lm, H2= 437Lm

Group 7:
L1=2, L2= 1.3Lm, M1= 13.6Lm, M2= 66Lm, H1= 244Lm, H2= 660Lm

So, the more I thought about this, since G6 is my main mode of usage, I changed my H1 to 10 and H2 to 12.

In the rare case that I need as much light as possible, in an instant, I don't want the delay of getting into G7 to access that brightness level (H2). In addition, with H1 being set this way I have access to the brightest non-thermally regulated level available in the light.
