The Thin Man Mod - Mag74BP-4C

Juan,

I use the Great Planes Triton charger. This programmable unit can handle 1-24 cells, li-ion, lead acid, nimh and nicad. It takes DC so it is powered off of a 12V 13A Cosel regulated power supply.

Nice work Wilkey. Sounds very elegant. I haven't seen a Mag 4C either in picture or in person. Any link or chance of posting a photo?

I sure wish that someone would come out with a high rate NiMH 1/2SC, with, say, 1700+ mAh. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sleepy.gif

WooHoo!!! You did it!!! I'm still waiting on the 1274 bulb I thought I had. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon6.gif

Remember the Project Fury thread?

Hmmm... If I read this correctly, current plans for the Fury call for the WA01274 and likely 1/2c cells. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif I like!

But do I hear an echo in here?

But, you might even be able to get 7 1/2c cells into it, and then you could run the WA01274!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin07.gif

It would likely be harder to find more bang for the buck for the size.

Worth considering?
I will be. Muwhahaha!!!

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'm really glad to hear it works well! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif Once I get my 1274's from Dan's group buy, I'll be making one of these exact mods myself.

Once again, Wilkey is the pioneer! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif

PS - I'm even using the exact same batteries from batterystation (here, about 1/2 way down)

Jim,
There's always the hope that someone will. However dim.

LED,
Well, first to do it maybe, but pioneering? Probably not. The recipe is out there and anyone willing to "roll their own" battery packs has access to mods that others cannot or will not take on. All you need is a charger and a whole bunch of cells and you can do pretty much anything. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Wilkey

Here's a picture per Jim's request. It's next to the Aurora (3D) and a couple of my daughter's stuffies. I like this Nite-Ize sleeve because it provides a sure grip, has a strap that wraps over your hand so you don't need a death grip to hold and can clip to your belt.

I'd rather use a Carley 1499 at only 1.9a draw in a M*g2C using 18650's-longer runtime, and tighter hotspot. 4C is way too long for such a thin body...kind of lanky, out of proportion like a 6+ft tall supermodel. 5'7" JA, now that's proper proportioning for a thinny /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not a fan of batwing beampatterns that MOP's only partially alleviate at the expense of throw. Ah, for that less useful, quick thrills contingent--- an axial Carley 852 (coming soon) would be the ticket, same 2C body/battery setup.
