Thermal protection on Nitecore D2 Charger?

I am looking at this charger, a yt reviewer does a teardown and states there is no thermal protection, and therefore dangerous.
On Lygte.dk there is no mention of this.
Nitecore product specs: "Overheating prevention through temperature monitoring and optimal heat dissipation design"
Confused now, i guess i should go with the specs but the teardown looks convincing too............
