So I'm looking at review for a luxeon 1 side emitter spotlight, well the product is described as Luxeon 1, and here's what the guy wrote, I guess he's trying to be technical.

This light does not use a halogen quartz bulb for the spot light as described it is a 1 lux LED, 1 lux equals the brightness of moonlight while 50 lux is comparable to the brightness of a living room.Yet when used with a reflector this is a rather bright spotlight! That said there is no claimed lifespan of the bulb or if a replacement could be purchased which would be useful information.

A Luxeon I puts out 1 Lux? And where to buy replacement LEDs when the original burns out? I'm thinking the restaurant reviewer was assigned to review a flashlight.

This kind of reminds me of what many people say when I'm showing them one of my Surefire's or something. They almost always ask if that's an LED light. But they never have any idea about the different types of LED's there are. To most non-flasaholics I've talked to, an LED is an LED. I try to explain that there are many different types of LED's, kind of like different car engines. Some are for economy, and some are for power.
