1. More regulated lights- I know these guys had a lineup of regulated incans ready to be released but unfortunately they never seen the light of day. Surefire should have realized that even with the advances in LED technology regulated incandescents still had much promise. I believe that if surefire would have released more regulated incandescnets sales would have been good.
2. More lamp options- As far as stock surefire's go, you got two choices, high output or ultra high output. I would like to have seen surefire release more long runtime lamps similar to their MN02 lamp. Even with long running LED's I still think that lower powered lamps for their more popular incandescents would have been a viable option, especially years ago. How sweet would a 100 lumen lamp assembley with a super long runtime be for the M4 or M6?
3. Updated Nimh or Lithium ion batteries for rechargable lineup- Only makes sense to me. Surefire's current lineup only uses old NiCad battery packs, and from what I've read the B90 has a pretty bad history early on. If maglite can update the magcharger with a Nimh battery many many years after it's release, why can't surefire do the same for it's rechargables?
4. A3 aviator- Same general design as A2, only running 3 cells, updated with brighter, more efficent LED's with seperate colored LED rings available, designed to be easily interchangeable. Two words, keep dreaming.
5. More HID's- Ok I know, technically doesn't fall under incandescent specifically but, with the advances in LED technology most interest in HID's for flashlights has been quashed, so that's why I'm including it. Would have liked to see a much smaller and much more affordable little brother to the beast or hellfighter. I think surefire, with enough time, could have come out with a few HID lights that could have been small, somewhat affordable, and a heck of alot more pratical that the beast or hellfighter.
Sadly surefire has abandoned all incandescent RD and all of the above is nothing but a pipe dream.
