After my experience modding the Romisen RC-G2, I figure I should take advantage of the RC-N3 light to make a budget tactical thrower... sort of a super-bright Surefire E1L for the masses.
It looks as if the RC-N3 uses the same 16mm pill as the RC-G2, with the same P2 or P4 Cree on a mini-star.
I would like to push at least 1000mA, and preferably 1400mA to the LED. I could use an SSC U-bin or Cree Q5 LED, but I don't know whether the SSC can take 1400mA, and whether I could get a Q5 on a mini-board.
Also, I don't know what 1-mode driver to use with a 3.0V-3.7V input.
Thanks in advance...
