thor 15mcp bulb ?

Hello love cpf great palce i just found ..I have a Cyclops thor platinum spotlight it has the 130watt bulb h4 can i install a smaller bulb say a 50 to 60 watt bulb for longer runtime what would the runtime be compared to the 130watt..and will it reduce the brightness by a lot..have 40 acre piece of private land we use them for..
owner thor platinum 15mcp and the pro,s favorite 18mcp..

Yes you can. IIRC, halving the wattage should net you double + or - the run time. Also, some time back, I thought someone here found a 9 ah battery that would fit in these lights, which would give you additional run time.

Halving the wattage will significantly reduce brightness. Certainly still a usable spot light. Typical low beam vehicle headlights are 55 to 65 Watts for reference.

Yes the low beam on these lights are very low now without using the high beams ..so i can just swat out the bulbs or am i better of getting a different battery.. are these standard automotive bulbs i can pick up at autozone or advanced auto?

Was looking at picking up a vector pob on ebay for under $50 shipped.... if they have been sitting around for a while what are the chances of getting one with a bad battery..i saw on a couple of lights that had a sticker from the manufacture the battery must be charged within a couple of months from being made is this true?

The bulb is the most simple thing to do. Take the bulb with you to the auto parts store to match. If you do both mods, you'll get even more run time.

Despite the fact that Sealed Lead Acid batteries like to be charged right away after use, some of my old Thors have sat for 6-9 months with no charging and they still work fine.

YEP WILL PICK ONE UP EVERYONE IN OUR FAMILY USES THEM (SPOTLIGHTS) SEEMS A LOT OF GOOD REVIEWS ON THEM THE POB ..I WOULD LIKE TO GET AT LEAST 90 MIN OF RUNTIME BY SWITCHING BULBS ON THE 2 THORS I WILL GIVE THAT A SHOT ALSO..THANKS FOR THE INFO..
