Hello guys, I was wondering if anyone has experience with Osrams Golden Dragon plus in 80 CRI (Link on mouser), or their Oslon 5000 K (link, 82 CRI). The Oslon is only available for bulk purchase there though.

It'll be interesting to compare those to Cree's cool white LEDs (70 CRI typical).

I'm thinking about buying a Golden Dragon Plus to see how it is. Also, anyone know why this one costs $2 more then this one?

They just released COB with what looks like 80CRI in cooler temps as well. I would be interested in your findings. Their 1/4 watt products are very well respected.

All I have are my eyes and a bunch of random emitters. All I could give is subjective thoughts about the emitter. I could try to whip up a DIY spectrometer (dark box with a slit). Also, I'm only getting one LED, so my sample size is very small.

Might have better equipment available when I get into grad school (but not for optics, so I'll still have to beg/borrow equipment).
