EC50vn III is the best 70.2 26650 light IMO. Throws great for what it is. At $120 its also a great deal!
TC20vn Triple is no doubt a better light performance and size wise but its also $105 more..
So...I guess the question is the difference of 29Kcd to 45Kcd, 3400 Lumen to 3500 Lumen and 15mm shorter worth $105?!
Heck yes! Why? DriverVNX2 and beam quality!

Green Efest..I am ordering Purple Efest to see if I can get more output ;-)

The Golisi 4300 (and alikes) seems to be the hardest hitting cell right now, outperforming the Efest pruples. Here's the link to HKJ's 26650 comparator: https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Common26650comparator.php or here from Mooch's tests: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/attachments/9bd7d8fa-8447-4b84-a3b7-8eba6b4d440e-jpeg.712087/

Man the beamshots really makes me want to order this light.

Vinh can you also build the triple with XP-L HIs? I'm wondering what Lumen/Lux output it would have? The TC20 host and triple concept is amazing, I'm just not a fan of the SST-40 tints. :(

Yes I can you but you will get less performance for sure. I can do XML2 5000K if you want a neutral tint...

All triples has LEDs sitting on 3 layers of copper so the Heat sinking should be excellent.

Got my clamp meter ready to check current draw with a brandnew Golisi 4300 cell. I think the 3500 lumens rating should be very modest. I've heard of triple SST-40 build with 24 amps current draw on the tailcap.

Triple sst40 with dome will do 3300 to 4300 lumen depending on the 18650.. sst40 doesnt like all the sony vtc, and samsung 30q..

it is safer to use lg mj1, so we are talking about 3200-3500 lumen range..

You basically split the current on 3 LEDs, so if a single LED is safe with 8.5 amps, 3 can take 25 amps out of a single cell. If the circuit and internal resistance permits this of course. I'm pretty sure there's no cell right now that could overdrive a triple SST-40 build.
Turn on lumens should be pretty insane.

Is it possible to dedome the XHP70.2 for better throw? I ask because I thought a dedome would provide more than an eighteen yard increase

$225 TC20vn Triple SST40 SD 6500K + DriverVNX2 Specs: Lumen 3500, 45Kcd, 424m

I'm considering buying the triple. Does it have low voltage cutoff? I've never used your services before; do I supply the light and send it to you?

Vinh supplies the lights, but u can send him one if u have it. It's usually just as cheap to have him do it all though. He's super cool to work with. Very responsive to emails. He does awesome Custom work. Check out skylumen.com

"Low voltage protection:
Whenever the battery falls below 3V under load, brightness is reduced (about half). The reduced load usually brings up the voltage a bit. When it drops below 3V again, brightness is halved again - and so on, down to a very low level. It will not switch off and leave you in complete darkness though."
