Pretty much everyone (except for me) who has built homes next to the Ohio has a nice view. My home did as well when it was built 40 years ago. I'm a monster!!!

I'll post an "after" pic next week

Congratulations on the light Wimm! Maybe you can make a video like you did awhile back. I may eventually pick one up myself! :poke:

Am I the only one dying to see the numbers for the vn90? :faint:

Me too! This is what Vinh has given us for now:

Spec 6 and 7 is PRE-ORDER ONLY. Circuitry is still in final development stage. If the final price is higher you win. If the final price is lower I will refund the difference. Promised Specs: +4300 Lumen, +900Kcd.

It's available from Vinh. But it's all a tradeoff between runtime and size.

I fear that 5,000 lumen in the TN42 might get hot quicker than I would like. Maybe not pushing the led too hard in the TN42 might be OK with respect to heat. Pushing the led to it's limits to achieve max output comes at a high cost in heat. This became obvious to me during the development of the GT when they discussed the incremental heat rise with each additional 0.1 amp increase to the led and the correspondingly small increase in output as you approach the led's limit.

The Tn42vn90 doesn't get that hot on turbo its not a X80 it manages heat well in my opinion. The Tn42 is a great host for this led its not a small light and with Vinh's heat sinking it does a good job relative to the output your getting which is class leading.4300 -5000 lumens at 900k luxx in your hand is comfortably is awsome.

I am sure that Vinh will put out a great product as usual. As long as the TN42vn90 is not a 30 second turbo light it will be fine. Even if it has to back down a little after say five minutes it will still be a useful light. I can't wait for the pass around to get to me.

I guess it's safe to say that the driver has been completed. If so, are there any official specs for the TN42VN 90?

This led at 5000 lumens is still not near the limit yet. Vinhs driving it at 20amps and the led can take up to 27 amps I believe which is good
