That is crazy! Killing trees because you do not want to walk 300 yards. lol!
It's called a view. I'm surrounded by thousands of trees and a nice view of the river will increase the value of my home.

Am I the only one dying to see the numbers for the vn90?![]()

No, you are not the only one. I want someone to me if the 90 generates more heat than the 35 HI. I would think that likely does, but I am not sure.
yes it does and im dying to see the numbers too!!! It generates more heat more lumens more heat.
It really sounds like this led would be perfect in the GT, the host where heat goes to die.
It's available from Vinh. But it's all a tradeoff between runtime and size.
The Tn42vn90 doesn't get that hot on turbo its not a X80 it manages heat well in my opinion. The Tn42 is a great host for this led its not a small light and with Vinh's heat sinking it does a good job relative to the output your getting which is class leading.4300 -5000 lumens at 900k luxx in your hand is comfortably is awsome.I fear that 5,000 lumen in the TN42 might get hot quicker than I would like. Maybe not pushing the led too hard in the TN42 might be OK with respect to heat. Pushing the led to it's limits to achieve max output comes at a high cost in heat. This became obvious to me during the development of the GT when they discussed the incremental heat rise with each additional 0.1 amp increase to the led and the correspondingly small increase in output as you approach the led's limit.

This led at 5000 lumens is still not near the limit yet. Vinhs driving it at 20amps and the led can take up to 27 amps I believe which is goodI fear that 5,000 lumen in the TN42 might get hot quicker than I would like.
