Ti 2xAA McClickie Pak wave

First post in this thread for 2012!!! :twothumbs

E-mail sent for one x Ti 2xAA McClickie Pak

Thanks Don.
:candle:

Is the Ti 2xAA McClickie pak compatible with a Haiku XML head and/or a Mule Hi CRI Nichia 119 head?

Thanks for the response Don. I thought this was the case, but wanted to make sure.

I will be ordering a 2xAA pak soon.

Don, how come mode changing with this body/switch is just a simple light tap versus the 1xCR123 pak?

Wait a minute. Let me qualify that a bit more in a moment.

What I mean is in momentary on -- with the light off, I can just light tap it in momentary on and it switches modes whereas this was much more difficult with the 1xCR123 body?

To put in perspective, if I wanted to signal someone with a few quick flashes, the 2xAA would switch modes whereas the 1xCR123 would keep mode.

*** Never mind that. I'm crazy. The other lights do that too....

I am only building with the XM-L and Nichia 119 HiCRI LED's these days. Either LED can be used in a Haiku 2xAA.

Don. I noted that the 2AA Pak comes in 2 variants. One of which has got a lanyard hole directly the opposite side where the screws hold the clip.
Is this a recent offering / alteration of this pak?

I had the lanyard hole added in subsequent batches to the first run and the 1xAA pak also has the lanyard hole.

strictly out of curiosity, and I do hope to pick one of these 2xAA paks up one day, how much skinnier are these AA bodies than the 123 paks?

I realize the diameter of CR123s is wider by design versus AAs though

The large diameter at the tail is .990" on the 1x123 and .850" on the 2xAA The larger diameters at the "waist" of the 1x123 is .815" and .750" on the 2xAA.

thank you sir! so for all intents and purposes they'll feel the same when being gripped, huh?

+1 I really the AA pak also. The slight added length and the larger ribs make it more comfortable in my opinion.

Hi Don,

Email sent for one of these.

Cheers

I actually find the AA profile better as far as grip goes, but it likely depends on your hand size and preferences.
