I discovered that it's possible to remove the reflector from the A9 so the LED bulb is naked. I became impressed how strong and even illuminated the light was! If you want to light up a room, especially a small one, it's absolutely the best alternative to use the A9 without the reflector!

With the reflector the Tiablo A9 is a good thrower. But without it it's actually an excellent flood light!

The disadvantage is that the LED without the reflector is unprotected and that it's important to be careful to not damage it.

Interesting info. I guess anything is possible. I bought my A9 for throw and will probably keep it that way. If I'm looking for a Wall of light, I'll get something from Elektrolumens :grin2:

We need pics of this...anyone have a Tiablo? Want to try this and take some pics?

The Tiablo A9 has 4 thread joints,

tail-body
body-pill
pill-head
head-bezel.

Unscrew at the Tail-head one, and you have a very nice floddy beam, just dont drop it.

You could pop out the reflector and replace the lens/bezel. I figured this out a few days ago with an MRV clone.
