Hi guys, just a newbie on CPF, and I thought one of you uber flashlight geniuses might be able to help me. I just acquired a Tigerlight Gold 8 inch, and while very, very impressed by it's output, of course always looking to improve things! I want to get a longer throw on the beam (not diffuse it with the common one available on the market). Don't mind if it cuts down the beam width, just wanting that extra distance without paying for a Surefire L6... Any ideas out there on how to do it without redesigning the entire flashlight??

Cheers!

P.S. Maybe someone could explain what this voting thing is that I somehow enabled...?

I got Jim Sexton's Tiger11 upgrade/mod and with the extra lumens, this light throws like mad, even with a orange-peel reflector. Way outthrows the L6.

Josey -
Hi! Nice to hear from someone else up in my neck of the woods. Can you tell me how to acquire this mod you are talking about...it is for the TigerLight, right?

Cheers!

js, or Jim Sexton, builds a variety of TL upgrades.

Right now he is working on some new, even better mods for the TL. They will probably be available this summer sometime.

Send a personal message to him if you like and he will be more than happy to tell you about the options.

In addition, do a search in Modified/Homemade with his name and you will find some info about his offerings.

Actually, start here, and follow the threads:

Hey Doug:

Bill is right, and Jim is a great guy to deal with. And, yep, I'm right on the strait, so I see BC every day, when it isn't raining. OK, so I see it once a month.

Josey - I think you need to invest in a good pair of binoculars, than you probably could see BC almost every day! Sent a private message to Jim, hopefully hear back soon...
