Your kids tell you that it`s time for you to move to a nursing home and you can only take one light. The rest of your collection will be sold at a London auction so the kids can travel around the world in a yacht. Killing the kids is not an option.

The home has a lights out at 9 pm policy. You remember that sexy old gal who was moved there a year ago. You will need a good light to sneek back and forth through the dark halls in search of this hotty.

You hope to be able to get visitors to bring you stuff from time to time...batts being the most important thing besides viagra. What light are you going to keep and take to the grave with you?

How about a Surefire 10X so you don't need to worry about batteries as much.

An LS modified 2AA Legend. Old style LS optics, better for walking around at night. Easy to operate. Bright enough, don't need a light cannon here. Not too small for ailing elderly hands, not too big to keep in pocket (not blue jeans anymore, you know). Won't have trouble explaining to anyone what kind of batteries you need (you can probably just say "batteries" without any qualifiers).

Heh Heh , yeah the 10x would be nice. Use the 60lum to navigat and if someone catches you it's tanning time for them.

The Arc LS comes to mind too.

A white Arc LS (and/or an orange-red Arc LS that emits 55 lumens, which is a truly spectacular and one-of-a-kind light).

No matter what, though...and your hypothetical notwithstanding... I would still find a way to "kill my kids"!

Arc LS. Bum a few AA's afrom the relatives and staff. Use the single AA holder for stealth work. AA holder for brighter light and keep a few 123's in the drawer because they will keep for about 10 years and you won't last that long.

I guess I'd take an Infinity Ultra here - not too small for geriatric hands, can use lithiums, neither too bright nor dim, waterproof and certainly would take physical abuse pretty well. Lanyardable so that ya don't lose it, takes cheap and common (read easy-to-bum) AAs and has superb runtime. What more can an (old) man ask for?
