Am I the only one who has grown very tired of the debate over Surefire's price increase? :sleepy:

Wake me up when it's over please.

That's funny. I think this is only the second thread I've seen on it.

Do you mean the second thread on the price increase itself, or the second thread expressing boredom with the price increase discussion?
The second total, including pro, con, and meh. They must be around. I haven't run across them yet.

It seems we are 100% fedup. Everything is going up, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, the middle class are shrinking daily. Who can afford a Surefire now? Is the Surefire E1B worth three times as much as the the Fenix P2D Q5, Is it three times better?

apparently, despite the vote tally some still feel the need to discuss it.

Well I am just tired of the Surefire debate, full stop.......Things like, "is the M6 still the best?"......."I have a SF, don't I have a good light or what"......."I know SF is hard to get, expensive, but worth every cent"......."if you want the best, get a SF".......blah, blah, blah.

Its like SF owners are trying to convince themselves of all the above, just to feel like they have not been taken for a ride by SF marketing and all the hype......the harder it is to get, the more expensive it gets, the more I have to have one.......yeah, right........please get a life, get out there and explore......there is life outside of SF.......quite funny actually.....

....and btw, I do have some SF lights and like them......:)

I don't mind...gives the forum something to talk about.

What I'm wondering is, has anyone actually bought a new Surefire after the increase?

Uh-oh, I hope this thread doesn't go downhill... :eek::caution::whoopin::banned:
Agreed that it's only the second thread that I have seen on this subject. But, it's not so much a debate as a fact... fact is, I have 3 SF's and I already find it unreasonable to purchase any more SF's. :broke:

The 'debate' rarely goes far since you have often extreme opinions from both sides and neither are likely going to budge... Hmm, I just read the thread, 'SureFire Inflation' and, surprisingly, it's still a very civil debate with good arguments on both sides.... :twothumbs:popcorn:

Yes. I bought a 6p. The $3 price increase was hard to swallow though.

yes, on a lighter note.......its like when they put up beer and cigarette prices back home, the reaction is....."what? another price rise??......darn.....oh well, now where is my cig lighter"......"btw, who's shout is it, I am seeing straight" :drunk:

Oh at first I thought "price debate" was about Surefire pricing compared with the Chinese brands. That one has been done to death. Yeah I saw some threads about SF's own price increases but not all that many. I think some dealers still have some lights in stock at the old prices. I feel a little bit tempted to snag an E1B at the old price if any are left, but I'm better off resisting.

Agreed. Tired of all the "one brand versus another" debates which usually involves SureFire. Each light or brand of lights has its own benefits and drawbacks. As for pricing, they are a product just like anything else. Prices go up and prices vary. I've seen the same carpet cleaning machine + / - $100 depending upon where you choose to purchase it.

I usually just skip those discussions and continue with what thie forum is really about.

I know you all really LOVE these Surefire price discussions, but I am afraid I have to interrupt the elegant flow of your distinguished rhetoric and disappoint you in this instance.

There already is a current discussion about this, and we don't need another, so it grieves me to inform you that this one will have to close.
