Does anyone know if this charger has the same or more/less charging current than the Maha 808?

The charge rate would be 2700mA-hr/1.5hr =1800mA or 1.8 A. You can round that up to about 2 amps...very similar rate to the C808M but with 1/2 the number of bays and the addition of a 9V socket plus a accumulated charge indicator. If it works as well (and it should), then, it seems like a good buy.

Someone in another thread pointed me to a post from Matt K. of BatteryJunction where he stated the rate was 1600mA +/-200mA. So you are right on target.

It seems he tries to carry good products to protect his reputation .
