Last night at work, I had to search a rather larger parking lot for a small, dark colored item. So, to make a boring job interesting, I dug in to my flashlight bag and started swapping parts around.
I came up with a 2 cell "SF E2e" Optics HQ led head, a 17500 body, a SF clicky switch and 2 AW RCR2 batteries.
I checked the clock and fired up the light. It was amazing how bright that little light is. At 26 minutes, the light cut off. I could turn the light off and back on and it would light up for less than a second and then cut off. I assume the protection circuit was kicking in.
26 minutes didn't seem too bad for such a small, bright light. I guess I need to see how it will do on an AW 17500 battery next.
I have both 1 cell and 2 cell TLS heads. The 2 cell version is much brighter to my eyes. The throw on it is amazing.
