Hi everyone, I'm here looking for a bit of advice for my new torch. I recently purchased a nitecore tm26. I really like the torch, and it's ideal for what I use it for.
I am currently using 4 X 2400 mAh 1860 Lion batteries. My question is... would I get any more power, or burn time out of my torch if I used maybe 3600 mAh batteries?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

You'll get longer run times with a 3400 mAh battery. There are no 3600 mAh batteries currently being sold.

Purchase from a trusted vendor, only use button top protected cells. I use both Nitecore and KeepPower cells rated at 3400 mAh in my TM15 and TM26.

I've toyed with the thought of getting some 3400 mAh 18650s, but I just bought a set of 2300s for my TM11 this spring, and I don't use it heavily enough to need the extra run time. Also, unless you run into a good deal, 3400s are significantly more expensive than 2300s. For an occasional user like me, a 100% increase in price for a 50% increase in run time is not good math.

Actually orbitronics is offering 3600 mAh for sale.

If you look at this post http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?375958 from back in November 2013, these cells were reviewed.

There has been no news since that date.

Panasonic Industrial doesn't even list them on the website.

From what I have been able to find, there were some 3600 mAh batteries produced for a couple of computer manufacturers. Since you need to be a volume user to get cells directly from Panasonic and no one other than Orbtronics lists them for sale, but none are listed on the battery sellers that I use and carry Orbtronics, I say good luck finding them. Vaporware.

KeepPower says no 3600mah this year

but since the TM26 uses 4 cells in PARALLEL the panasonics aren't your best choices. get a LG D1 or E1 and charge to 4.35v using an xtar charger (sp1, wp2h, sp2, etc)
