Enlightened
This one is for the modders we have her. I have an old TNC flashlight, the one that takes 4 123a`s that I had bought a few years ago from a member here and I really love the light but with all the new LEDs` out there I wanted to mod this light for more output and was wondering who and what I could do to this light. I was thinking maybe the new ostar LED since the head of this lightg is pretty narrow. As far as power? The battery compartment has an adapter to use 4 123a`s but without it a few `c` cell batteries would fit although the chamber could be bored out abit. Could I just get another LED like a rebel or an Ostar and slap it on top? It also has a rocker switch that I want to replace with one that lights up that I`ve seen on some computer mod web sites. What do I need to know about how much power I have to put in for whichever LED I use and how much resistance I need? I have never modded a light before and was wondering what it would take to do this. Sorry about pictures guys. I`ll have to find a web hosting site to put up pics since I can`t post attachments. Thanks for any `enlightnement` -Frank
