Have had TnC Keylux AA for a number of years,
Have an original 200ma (red) that takes a regular or rechargeable 1.2vAA.(as does HaNat 350ma)
This flashlight has an LE that does not screw in and is powered by a 1.2V AA battery. The on/off can be operated with the head twist which is different than the later two versions. (tail cap twisty).

700ma,Seoul Multi level, 350ma HaNat, 200ma Red

TnC 18650, SFCR2, SF AA, Keykux AA 700ma
The SF series and latest Keylux need a tool (see pictures)to remove and add Light Engine cannisters

SF adapter (TnC);LE cannister screw into adapter and adapter screw to barrel and head. AA, cannister screw directly into body. LE cannisters do fit in Either SF or Keylux AA and can be multi-level with Li-on or single level; some work with 1.2V AA. (single level ) Note that SF has Surefire E adapters (McGizmo Aleph) and other for Lego.

I have been pocket carrying the Multi-Level P4 (Icarus built Flu-Pic cannister) with a Seoul from the Sandwich Shoppe.
The beam is typical Seoul White but yet warm and pleasing (if that makes sense ) I like two levels (see beam shots comparing all three)

200ma, 350ma, Seoul HIGH

200ma, 350ma, Seoul LOW

Beam shots taken with No White Balance at 72" (Canon 20D)

Tnc KelyLux AA, N, and SF series all are machined, extremely well. The components are well built, anodizing on my examples are matched well.

Light engines on TnC site are built by Arc Mania and components are available for build.http://tncproducts.com/hp_zencart/index.php

I particularly like the knurling and flats on KeyLux AA and it fits nicely in my small hands. The multiple levels allow use for most situations and "High" is very bright and useable.

I have ordered a "C" flex body and "C" Li-ons from AW...............
hope to review with TnC SF series and other "Lego's" soon as m advised that parts have shipped.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks a lot for posting this!

Although the canister tool is handy, you can use a number of tools to remove it such as scissors or needle nose pliers with sharp tips etc.

Also I have canisters (light engines) with flupics as well and custom build with standard sammie sized 0.55" boards, such as Nexgen, Downboys, and SuperDownConverters.

Very soon we'll have a Cree compatible TurboHead for the Key-Lux AAs using the McR-19XR and of course these can be fitted for Seoul/Luxeon as well. In the works is a clicky tail (not a Kroll).

Hi Ron,

The TnC SF-Series will fit Aleph heads now with TnC canisters only, using the Aleph compatible power packs. We have power packs in the works soon that will fit on E Series heads using the native E Series electronics. The Key-Lux AA is too small to fit E Series.
