Tomorrow I should be receiving my SF E2. This is my first high tech flashlight. I don't know what to expect. I also have arriving a Photon II white for my keyring.

I have owned some Mags in the past. Always thought they were a little overrated, but overall not too bad for the money. Of course, their technology is history now. I owned some Brinkmanns that were total POS, particularly the NexStars. Does anyone know what the deal with these things were? Bought all of mine at Wally World, too. The twist head operation was cheap and kept breaking the on/off switch in the head assembly.
My main lights right now are the Mag 2D for the car, an Eveready DB AAA for my work light, and a DB AA for my house light. I have always been a big fan of the Doublebarrels. Best light for the money. Tough, bright, and cheap. I will post my review of the E2 tomorrow.

Buying the SF E2 was a big jump for me too, i didn't know what to expect, let alone figure out how i was going to live with a light that lasts only an hour on a set of 2o dollar batteries. But as u will find, an hour goes a long way. At first an hour does not look good at all on paper, but when u use it in person, you begin to appreciate it's brightness and utility, and u begin to understand and accept its longevity. Trust me, for a regular flashlight user like you and me, this light kicks a$$!

Oh my !!

Betcha you can't do the E2 review THAT quick. (You may be too stunned for some time ! )

"One's first SureFire Executive 2 leaves one in a state of pleasurable shock for some considerable time, a shock only eventually equalled by the slowly dawning realisations of: the substantial cost of it's batteries if not bought in quantity, the veritatable impossibility of subsequently existing without the striking performance of the flashlight in question, and the need for it's close companionship to oneself in all one's endeavours, whether of great professional seriousness, or simply whiling away recreational time in the playful boggling of one's acquaintances."

to mis-quote Franz Kafka. Or was that Mark Twain ......

i was stun at my E2 when i first receive it, but i was stund more because the price of the batt cost more than the light.

i had bought 10Sets of batt(20 pieces) since my E2, but only at the 3rd(or was it second??) set.

You're 5 days late komondor; still reeling from the shock?

I prefer the Streamlight Stinger for bright ecomonical power.
