I just got one of the new CMG Tracer headlamps. Neat little 2 LED unit powered by a single AAA cell, very light.

It's current against voltage performance is indeed interesting in that it's constant current (from the source)most of the time:

V Current (mA)
0.8 001.5
0.9 033
1.0 120
1.1 155
1.2 130
1.3 118
1.4 118
1.5 117
1.6 118
1.7 120
1.8 120
1.9 120

It's also interesting in that the two LEDs seem to be in series???

Looks like total current drain with 2 leds is about the same as an Arc AAA or CMG Sonic with one led. Any way to measure current at the led, to figure out the switching loss?

Yup, my Arc and Ultra are a bit brigher, but drawing about twice the current. They also don't have that interesting rise at 1.2 Volts or so.

To get the board out you'd have to cut off the mushroomed ends of the plastic pegs that hold it in place, might foul things up nicely. I'll probably get around to it, but for now I don't want to risk wrecking it until I've finished playing.
