If it's anything like I imagine seeing how it performs with the Ostar, I'll bet it eliminates the void in the center of the beam.

It has a nice smooth beam with a pretty nice hotspot as well. The combination works well the only pain in the rear is both the LED and Reflector need to be self centering. Mac
