Transforming my Ra Clicky 140 Tactical *WARNING PIC HEAVY*

I had an EDC Executive that i foolishly traded about a month ago for an E1B. I was positive that the E1B would be a permanent part of my EDC rotation but it did not. I missed the EDC Exec and was thinking of picking up another from Henry.
As luck would have it, i was one of the lucky recipients of Henry's generosity and ended up with a Ra Clicky 140 Tactical at MattK's SHOT party.
Great lights the Clicky's are, i think the clip is the biggest weakness in the line. IMHO, it detracts from it's form. So, i set about transforming my Clicky Tactical to something slightly different. I do like the look and it's now part of my EDC rotation and one that i'll never part with again.

First, the Clicky 140 Tactical in it's stock form.

i then added the Arc/HDS style clip modded to fit my EDC Executive. Better but wanted a bezel down option with the potruding tailcap button.

So, here it is with a Moddoo clip that i was using on my Twisty 100n. Much better i think, but the silver clip seemed a little out of place with the black bezel.

I decided to order a smooth SS bezel from Henry and gave it a try. I think it looks pretty good and i like how it turned out.

I then reprogramed the Tactical UI to a hybrid of the two.

Mode A: Max 140 lumens
Mode B: 8.8 lumens (level 15)
Mode C: 35 lumens (level 19)
Mode D: Tactical strobe

And added the 2 hex set screws from arewethereyetdad's CPFMP thread.

Paintballdad that looks great! :thumbsup: I wrapped my clip in paracord but it still takes away from the light's great form.

How do you like the tactical button? I have the EDC exec you had with a flush button and am going to order a 170 tactical but haven't decided on the button yet.

I like the tactical button just fine, it seems easier to activate. There were post that the newer flush buttons weren't completely flush thus preventing tailstanding. I've never had a need to tailstand a light so that's really a moot point with me.

I wouldn't suggest a tactical button with bezel up carry though, the light turned on a couple of times in my pocket with the modded Arc/HDS clip. YMMV.

Thanks Paintballdad I'm glad you said that as mine is now on order.😀 I did ask Henry if I could switch caps if I don't like it and he said that they are interchangeable so that's good to know. I ordered mine with a stainless bezel but wonder about the black. Did you change yours yourself? Was it difficult to do? I haven't tried to take mine off. Thanks for the reply.

Whoa. That clip is pure WIN. Where do I get it? Mine is coming with the SS bezel (crenelated) so I would like to get one. And the hex screws too! Me want....

I got the clip from CPF member Moddoo last year. Not sure if he still has any for sale though.

Sorry, missed your question completely.

The bezel was actually pretty easy to remove. I just wrapped a wide rubber band around it and it twisted right off.

Bezel-up Clip doesnot mean bezel-up carry. Just "bezel up usage".

Even If I have a clip on my lights, I always carry them loose in my pocket.
With "bezel-up" I have a good chance to tighten the light for example to my cap and dont have to hold it with my teeth/mouth.

Bezel-down clip doesn't help me at all with this.
