Hi gang,

It looks to me like you remove the snap ring
from the top (bulb) end. I tried to get it out
with my longest/pointiest needle nose pliers but
only managed to make the ring rotate in its groove.

Any hints?

Thanks - Greg

I haven't done it yet... but am planning on doing a Mag2D Mod so I've been researching the same thing. You have to take out the rubber boot over the push-button, and then it'll reveal a little whole. Then you have to stick in an allen wrench (not sure what size off the top of my head) and loosen it that way. Then I'm pretty sure you can just pop it out without damaging any of the internals of the light! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Hope this helps

First you remove the rubber cap from the switch. Then press the switch so it is in the lowest position. In the center of the switch is a hole in which an allen key can be placed to unscrew a set screw that holds the switch in and provides the ground to the switch. Once the set screw is unscrewed, the entire switch assembly will slide out the rear of the light. You do not need to remove the snap ring. I don't remember for sure the size of the allen key, but I think it might be 3/32.
