Triple LED 2.8A booast driver?

Is there a boost driver that can drive a string of 3 XML or 3 P7 to 2.8A or higher Running on 2 IMR Li-ion?



basically to boost from 8V to 12V while delivering 3Amp? 3x12=36,

36/8 = pulling 4.5 Amp from 8v battery.



Assume 80% efficiency, it'll pull 5.4Amp from two IMR together.

The battery 2xIMR AW 26500 should be perfect but does such a high current boost driver exist?



Looking for a way to Run Triple XML out of Mag 2C using 2xIMR.

I have not seen any 2.8A boost drivers since I was looking for them a while back to run 3 XM-L's. If they don't exist, perhaps a buck driver as the Taskled H6CC set to 6.7A and somehow having the leds in parallel for approx 2.2A each. The brightness may not suffer much and the leds will run cooler. The only questions are if the Mag case is wide enough to house the 1.25 inch diameter of the driver and if the batteries can handle the current without the protection circuit kicking in.

i have a light that uses this driver, 3xm-l light, 2x18650, tailcap current on high is 2,4amps.
i have no idea if it is boost or paralleled, but in theory current should be higher than 2,4A on high, idk how much leds get, but on high it is as bright as my 3xp7 on high, and p7s use DW driver, so i know each getting 2,8A.

When you order the driver you just need to ask the shop and you get a free sense resistor to mod it. Its written in the manual how you do it. If you have trouble understanding the manual I can translate it for you.
