Can I DD all 3 P7's in parallel, with multiple liions in parallel? I have ALOT of room. I don't want to poof these. I want to go driverless.

If it can't be done reliabley...I will just do a single p7... But a triple would be much better for my use.

Why would you want to go direct drive? Is there any benefit to that besides not spending $10? Also if this is your first build you should start small and use one p7. And what are you building this out of if you say you have a lot of room?

sure, yes, you can direct drive.
It is the most efficient way to run a light.
The P7 is a very robust package that stands up to a lot of abuse.
I do recommend you getting comfortable with what you are doing before you assemble a monster light with multiple emitters and many cells. (*edit - infact I'm cautious about you assembling a multi-cell pack your first go -- I strongly recommend using protected cells: 18650 cells can be DANGEROUS and they get exponentially worse off in numbers, especially a pack in series that can have a cascade failure)

Use a single emitter, a single cell. Use that for a night.

Direct drive means the light will be brightest at first and continually decline from then on. How gradually the output falls off is a function of your emitters drive current and the batteries performance at that level.

i'm not sure it's a good idea to do it in parallel, if that's the direction you end up going in.

you would be lucky to get three emitters with the exact same Vf, which would be optimal for running them in parallel.

i would rather run them in series with batteries in series.
