Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

I use downloads AMC7135 variety of a driver:

And running the show on 3 x LiION D-size. It's very efficient.

This is a floody setup. But it will light up the nearest couple of hundred meters of estate with that enormous flood. It's somthing else.

I'll do a tutorial for a setup like the diagram in the link and some outdoor beamshots when I get back from Prague next week.

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

We are looking forward to see your diagram and beamshots !

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

Hi!

Kann man in die Triple P7 auch deinen PWM Dimmer bauen und wie hoch ist die Effizienz von deinem Treiber? Könnte ich beides auch mit 30 Volt betreiben?

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

Do you think that a 2D mag, which is finned at the head and the body, would be enouth to cool the LEDs?

if i am right the heat sinkt should have a surface of ca. 500cm².
So theoretical even a bare 2d Mag should do the job.

am i right?

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

My kit just arrived this morning. The kit looks good. Can't wait to build the light. Just need some p7's now. :candle: Thanks!

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

Der Witchel I'm interested in this kit, please send me a PM. Thanks.

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

I don't suppose anyone has first hand experience with the difference between DerWichtel's reflectors and the Boom-S? I'm just curious if the beam pattern is about the same, or more throwy with DWs?

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

A couple of quick questions before I start building:

How is the driver intended to be wired? I assume black is a common ground; of the red and red-black wires, which goes to power and which goes to the LED?

Second, you previously said that the output could be varied by changing one of the resistors (marked on the one I ordered). Would the output go down as the resistance goes up, or the opposite (output reduced if resistance reduced)?

Thanks.

Re: Triple Seoul P7 Kit for Mag D

Oh, glad I asked. On mine, the wires are red on far left, red with black stripe in the middle, and black on the right (positions corresponding to the picture). So the black wire is actually the positive for the LED. Normally, I would associate red or white wires with positive, black with ground.

Good to know on the resistor. That should make it pretty easy to do a two-stage switch if I decide that a potentiometer is too much trouble.

Thanks.
