Yes, they work but I would not use BSYPI.
You should better use D bins with warmer color bins.

I am curious about the driver, would it be expected that 12 AA eneloops could provide sufficient power for a tri-p7 setup? If so, what sort of runtime should be expected? If not, what about 16 AA's? Any other thoughts about using something other than lions?

Hi, I think 12 AAs are not enough but 16 will work fine.
