Tripod Accessory for Mule?

My mule arrived yesterday and as usual with Don it does what it says
on the box spectacularly well

I was thinking that if there was a way of attaching it to some sort of
mini-tripod with the ability to swivel it at any desired angle,
it would increase its functionality even more for use as a work light
or reading light.

Anyone know whether this is possible?

Actually, you don't even need a clamp. You can screw a standard tripod's thread directly into the clip, but whether it marks up the clip is something that I don't know.

I thought you had to tap it for that.
