Turning an OP reflector into a smooth reflector???

I went camping last weekend and it was pitch black. We were fish spot hopping and my friend's boat headlight went out (the left one). To make things worst, the lake water had decline and the trees that was once cover reappear. So I use my L1T v2 and use it to spot any trees so that we don't hit any. It did its job (i can only see light reflections), but I got a Romisen G2 Q5 w OP reflector. I try getting a smooth reflector for it, but cannot find it. I was wonder can I strip the OP and coat it with chrome spray paint? Any idea where I can get a smooth reflector for the RC-G2 or mod the current reflector? Thank you.

There was a thread a while back where someone used some fine steel wool and sanded off the OP finish and proceeded to polish it to a mirror finish with some metal polish and a dremel. I dont think it was an RC-G2 though.
