I had a Mag 6D around and decided to make a really long lasting version of a Space Needle, so after somework and waiting for the epoxy to dry, voila, a Very Big Space Needle. (Space Needle is a mod by Mr.Bulk)
The Light is alot Whiter then the Picture Shows. It is a U3VW luxeon
BTW, If anyone can tell me how i can take pics that actually show how white the Luxeons are with my CANON S50, please let me know.

Brightness, throw, etc...how does it compare to a Space Needle?

This is one of the brightest and whitest U3VW's i have and compared to the Space Needle i have, the 6D is brighter. The throw should be atleast equivalent to the Space Needle being that the design etc are the same.

If I hadn't just bpought a $100+ light, I would have got this from you. I can't tell from the pics, is it a SE or HD?

ufokillerz, as the proud new owner, I must say they're not kidding about its cudgel-someness. It's brilliantly white though, kicks the crap out of the seasick-green 2aa 1- watt drop-in that I had. What I'm wondering is would a 30mm optic improve the throw over the mag-mod reflector, and rein-in the side-spill. And, if I were so-inclined, could I take the module out and put it in a 3-D with any success? Or would I have to buy a 2-D and two 3-to-D's? BTW, did I say great flippin' light?

The M*g reflector can focus the beam to a tighter spot than the 30 mm optic can.

the optics are only used when there isnt a decent reflector, the mag reflector is the BEST. and the luxeon is a Side Emitter, its meant to be used with reflectors only. With some work it could be put into a 2D flashlight and use 3x 123 batteries, but that won't be easy.
