Ultrafire C2 owners, which 18650 do you use?

Hi,

Has anyone found a decent quality protected 18650 that will fit in the Ultrafire C2 without using a solder blob or spacer? I'm looking for a "charge it and just drop it in there" battery for this light.

If there is no such battery, what can I use for or where can I buy a spacer? don't spread it around, but I don't own a soldering iron.

Thanks,

Mike

From what I gathered on this forum, it really depends on how lucky you are (this time). I ordered C2, a couple of UltraFire 2400 Protected and an UF-139 charger and all fits and works ok to me. The batteries fit ok, the charger has 4.19V when it lights a green light - nothing to complain of really. People here say that a bit of sanding solves the fit problem...

Same here for the kai/dk Ultrafire 18650 2400mAh. Fits fine, i did however add (soldered) a spring the the positive pole of the emitter head.

AW's 18650's work even better. In my case aw's were a bit tighter , however well worth the higher quality and runtime.

Just got my C2 in the mail today and I really like this light. The silver Ultrafire Protected 18650s fit in there just fine as well. I didn't get the charger which I also ordered but am trying to get that fixed right now. I don't know about everyone else but this light seems to be well made and the threads seem to be nicely cut and doesn't squeak at all and feels nice when screwing the parts together. Much better than the squeaking that my Dexlight X1 makes.
