ultrafire drop in

ive got a ultrafire wf 501D and im using it for work atm,now the problem is that the 14v bulb is very thirsty.is there a direct drop in replacement i can buy to replace it with ?

also any other mods would be great.

can i also run 2 x18650 's in it ?

This doesn't belong in C&M B/S/T. Drop-ins are not modifications. Moving it to Budget Lights...

I guess you are in the wrong section of the forum here...

If I'm right, that host accepts P60 dropins and you can have a look at Nailbender's thread here, he builds custom P60 dropins of all kinds :

When I say "wrong section of the forum", I think you don't want to spend double the price of your flashlight to get a droipin for it, will you? I have no idea if 2x18650 fit in that host or not, but it would probably be the only solution (besides 2 x 17670 if those fit) for a dropin, limited to 9V normally.

You'd perhaps better check the LED lights section and look out for another LED light, not necessary more expensive than a dropin for your host, but surely the better solution! :thumbsup:

There is 501A 501B 501C and 501D [ 3p 6p 9p 12p ] or 1xCR123A - 2xCR123A - 3xCR123A - 4xCR123A .

Yes , 501D can do 2x18650 or 8.4v if you buy a drop in for that voltage .
